A Bliss-mas Carol

Author’s Note: I love and miss my family, but there’s something blissful about waking up in your own bed and not having to put on real pants on Christmas morning. Happy Holidays Everyone!

Oh the weather outside ain’t frightful

A 70 degree Christmas ain’t rightful

And though it sounds weird I know

We’re alone, we’re alone we’re alone

No relatives here to drop in

We’ve finished all our Christmas shoppin’

We get to stay in our home

We’re alone, we’re alone, we’re alone

When we decline all those invites

It doesn’t mean we don’t love them so

But we’d rather not take a flight

That could be delayed by some snow

Oh the weather outside ain’t frightful

Living far from home’s delightful

There’s great bliss from staying home

We’re alone, we’re alone, we’re alone
